Hairdos

I'm not very adventurous with my hair. I hardly ever wear it up. I don't really know any cute ways to wear it. I dont even really like wearing it in a ponytail (whats more boring than that?)

But lately all the pretty hairdo's I've been seeing have inspired me....

Rebecca was a recluse always has the most adorable hair:

The first one with the cute Heidi looking hair? So cute, I'll have to try it..... Her instructions on how to get the second hairdo are:

" I do this hairdo or something a lot like it almost everyday It is hard to explain how to do it though. I basically have the hair is three sections and try to get a ton of volume for the top one. After pinning all the sections, I use a pair of hairsticks to keep the sections in place as my hair is very heavy when I do this. "

And if that isn't helpful, we can just stare at it together and dream.... Plus, isn't her hair color amazing?

Next is the Freelancers Fashion Blog who by now everyone has seen this post on how to create the most beautiful retro hair:

This makes me want to go blonde and get tattoos. :)

Other 'dos I'm digging:

So many of these are curly messy beauties....sigh, why is curling hair so time consuming?

Updated Mary Janes

So, I'm really digging the double/triple strapped Mary Janes out lately....

First ran across these on Annabel's Chic blog but...these could make ANY outfit...

Payless just added these. I think they're adorable, but I am really not digging the color! I still kind of want to go and see them in person. Especially since its BOGO right now (gotta love that!)

Steve Madden adding a peep toe into the equation...

Pastel Perfect!
These are the ones I'd go for...

And everyone's favorite, Pandora, rocking the look:

Monokinis!

So, I've been doing a ridiculous amount of Slim And Sculpt 10 minute pilates lately. I am trying to get into Swimsuit season shape. I've recently started to hate my thighs and legs, which I'm also working on. Anyways. I have a couple perfectly fine bikinis. I even got to pull one out the other day because my beau's aunt and uncle had a Hot Tub-warming party. Which was fun, but I'm thinking of all the laying on the beach I want to do this summer (with lots of sunscreen, of course) and now I'm aching for a new suit to go along with my hopefully-slimmer toned bod ;)

So, I'm really enjoying the monokini look. I really want to get out and go try one on, just to see if this trend will flatter me or if it's worth tossing to the side....

Cute monokinis :

Cute black and white, maybe a little risque, but still cute. Plus, doesnt the model look flawless? Apparently this is the kind of suit that creates envy. From Macys

This one is bright, has a fun anchor pattern, and I just think its neat. The price is the only thing that really stops me from snatching it up....From here

A cute little sailr number from Urban Outfitters (I have none close to me, but this baby is an online only!) It's not a monokini, but I like it anyways :)

Another Urban Outfitter one, this is almost the perfect monokini (but I'd rather it in black, but this picture shows it better) except I want ties at the bottom! (Like the first two)

Cute little pink number from Aeropostale. Polka dots and pink, would look good paired with a floppy hat and some big glasses. Trashy romance novel optional. From aero.

Victoria's secret always has tons and tons of swimsuits. This one is such a cute look for the daring swimmers out there. It comes in solid colors too, for those who don't wear zebra ;)
One more VS suit. I think this is one of my favorites of al these. It seems wearable.

Another non-mono-kini. Forgive me....but, God, this is the first Juicy Couture thing I've ever truly coveted. But, how cute is this? You could just throw on some pants/a skirt/shorts/whatever and no one would know you were wearing a swimsuit! Plus the littly bow is detachable. And adorable to boot.

Vintage nightgowns as dresses

So, most days I can be found stalking the wardrobe_remix photo pool, waiting for all my favorites to update and ready to make new favorites. Well, I've noticed an amazing trend going on with all these thrifty, fashionable women - they're all thrifting nightgowns to wear as dresses! What a fantastic idea!

Steen Ink looks great in everything, and her etsy store is a dream! I love her natural red hair, too, it compliments this yellow nightgown-turned-dress perfectly! I would have never guessed it was a nightgown, either...which is probably part of the magic.

I believe in Unicorns made this from a vintage nightgown, isn't it lovely?! It started its life as only seeing the sheets and inside of the house, and now it gets to go out in the world and turn heads!

Purple vintage Diane Von Furstenberg nightgown?! Where does she find this stuff? I'm so envious!

So, the real end to this blog is....I have a new section of the thrift store I never considered looking in. Now I can't wait to check it out!

Vanessa Carlton in Mayle

I need this dress in my life. It inspires me to keep looking for the perfect floral dress!....
