Florals and bandage skirts

I'm loving this Target skirt, it fits like a dream and goes with everything. I pulled it down low so it would be appropriate for work.

September 5th

I've been such a bad blogger lately, I feel terrible. The weather keeps getting cooler though, which is inspiring! I'm going shopping today for new fall clothes, so hopefully I'll get to post some new outfits/new buys soon (that is, if anyone is still reading this of course)

Mans button up shirt: AE
Belt: Target
Bandage Skirt: Target
Gladiators: Kohls

Today I tried to try a look I've seen many people pull off. Its a large mans shirt paired with a short skirt and a belt. I don't know how I did but this is a really comfy fun outfit I think!

I'm so excited, I finally found a new purse! Also, this is my go-to outfit for work, I fall back on this all the time. I feel cute when I wear it, but still professional enough. It's perfect.

Cardi: Gap

P.S. My hair is a little shorter than the last time you saw me ;)

Cute work clothes?!

I'm really trying to wear cuter clothes to work. Because I'm motivated by looking cute! Plus, I am tired of the boring combination of button up shirts and slacks. Thats just easy and over-done. So I bought this dress at Old Navy with plans that it could be a work dress or an evening dress. I can fold pull a little fabric over the belt and shorten the hem for later. GeniusDress: Old Navy
Cardigan: Gap
Shoes: Payless
Belt: Off a shirt

Then after work I went over to Target (I work across the street from it!) and checked out the new GO line. Not very impressive. This was the only thing I thought might be cute:

But the material was weird and I don't even really like it on. So, boo. No cool new Target clothes for me. I need to watch my spending anyways...

Photoshoot pictures

As promised,

I didn't know if my friend who took these, Becky, would mind if I put pictures of her on here and I didn't ask so I figured I'd just use the pictures of me. There is a couple cute ones of both of us. I like having little fun photo-taking outtings. Just walking around and chatting and stuff. Very nice evening. So, hopefully there will be more days like this...

Oh, and Dress: Jovovich-Hawk for Target :)

Work Clothes

So, most of the time, my digital camera sits in my purse so it gets carried everywhere with me. This includes my work. I sell cell phones (Verizon Wireless) and sometimes it can get a little slow at my store so often I take a picture of my work outfit. More often than not I don't feel its Wardrobe Remix worthy, so they are just taking up space on my computer... until now. Warning, these are pretty boring, but I'm trying to work on it!

I broke down my typical work outfits into three categories.

First, Sweaters:
Yawn. Thrown on some slacks, pull on a sweater? How boring. In the bottom right I was channeling Santa Claus in my red sweatervest with a black belt. In the first two pics you can see my favorite work Accessory: My Nametag. Hah.

Next, Button up Shirts.
The first one I was in a very purple mood apparently. The second one I was feeling goth? These feel just as boring as the first!

Lastly, my new foray into wearing work-appropriate Skirts:
The picture on the right was one of my first outfit posts on here, but whatever, It was still a work outfit. The one on the left I wore yesterday! Since its been warming up, I've been trying to embrace the high waisted skirt trend and wear them to work. I'm not totally comfortable wearing this style yet, but I think it's a cute look for work.

My dress code is Business professional or something. I'm not sure. Guys have to wear button ups and ties. The women get a more lax policy, but I've just had a hard time figuring out what looks professional so I've fell into those lazy categories more than not. And today I just wore a white button up and brown pants. I just need to find some new looks! I want to feel fashionable at work too!

Help? We can do it together...I'll keep you updated on looks I'm trying out!

May pt. 2

You know how when you can't find a dress to wear so you pull out your trusty LBD (little black dress)? Well, I don't really have a lbt currently (sure I have black dresses, but nothing that seems to match the versatility and ease a LBT seems to portray), but I do have the perfect teal dress. So I guess this is my LTD. Okay, that looks dumb, lets just forget that :) After seeing this picture, I think I may changes into my brogues when I go, but those are in my car, so I doubt I'll get another pic.

Dress: Ross, maybe TJ Maxx....somewhere I can't remember sadly :(
Tights: Same as earlier in the day
Heels: Ross, maybe brogues to be worn later
Necklace: Girlprops. Immediately after this I threw on a locket too...

May is the perfect time to pull out some shorts

Yesterday, I made some shorts out of old pants I had that were all frayed and gross on the bottom. I turned them into some shorts I think look much better. My best friend and I both did this and then both wore our DIY shorts with black tights to school today. This is like the second time we've had twin-ish outfits...We're so cool.

Also! Right when I was taking this pic, I had just gotten whistled at by a guy in a red truck while crossing the street. Then as I thought I was secluded enough to snap this shot, he drove by to get another look! Bah. So, I guess thats a compliment, albeit a gross one.

Cardi (still windy enough to need it): Aero
Shirt: American Eagle
Belt: Wet Seal
Shorts: made from old jeans
Tights: my tights drawer

And just for fun, what I was reading while I waited for the bus (It's for my 20th century American literature class)

And good news! This weekend I'm going with my friend Amanda to her wedding dress fitting. I'm one of her bridesmaids so the second I get my dress, I'll share that with you guys! And of course, I'll be on the hunt for new heels to go with it.... ;) But that post will come later....

Spontaneous Outfits are the best!

The best outfit ideas happen spontaneously. Like, I was in the shower earlier thinking "What can I wear with my new thrifted skirt that will be better than just a plain white tee?" And bam! I remembered this purple music note and keyboard shirt I have. Sadly, I had to cover up the cute keyboard to make the skirt look cutest, but I overall think this is a winning outfit.

I didn't get to wear it very long before having to change for work :(
So I'll probably be wearing it again next week!

And I saw a picture of Lucy where she stuck her camera in her mailbox. So today when I checked the mail, I thought I'd try it out!

i saw it on your keyboard

Thats all, I think I'm going to go to the thrift store on my way to work! Wish me happy thrifting :)

Sun!

It's been nice enough lately that I don't need tights with my dresses. This led me to thinking of ways to experiment with my wardrobe. It's still chilly so I thought I'd give the long sleeve Tshirt and strapless dress look a try. I'm pleased with the results. I really like how bright this yellow is! I have a green long sleeved shirt I think would look cute with this dress as well.

High Waisted Skirt

So, I love the high waisted trend, but I have a hard time feeling confident. Today, however, I thought I rocked this look! Hopefully you agree ;) And yes, I'm standing in front of a drive through window (dont worry, this fast food joint is CLOSED!)

White button-up: Mall store? I can't remember! $10ish

I told my friend the prices of these items and she told me that she likes to only buy dirt-cheap clearance. And here I though I was wearing these great deals! What are your impressions on prices of clothes? How much is too much?

Oh! and just for fun, what I wore yesterday

Sailor Dress

So, I hoped on the blog train. I couldn’t help it. I enjoy reading others so much; I thought I might as well have one, even if it might turn out pathetic. Plus, it is a good way to get me in the habit of writing something everyday, even if it is about fashion and things like that! Plus, I dream entries lately, and I don’t even have a blog. So, I’m sure I’ll have enough material for…a few days at least!

Might as well start with an outfit post, right?

Dress: I dont remember! :( I want 5 more.
Tights: Idk either
Shoes: payless, stole from mother :)
Cardigan:Aeropostale
Owl bag: mall

This dress is actually pretty meaningful to me. When my boyfriend and I were still only friends, he told me about 4 times how great I looked in this dress. And he still is a big fan of the clothes I wear (usually, and I have a blog planned on something of the subject, just you wait!)..

Well, hope you lovelies enjoy and they’ll be plenty more soon!
